Before I created Big Dog’s Closet…
I used to spend countless time and money to find something stylish for my big dog Scooby on holidays or a coat for the winter, but nothing cute will fit him and the ones that fit are so ugly, made with the cheapest materials that can’t even take one wash 🙁
Then one chilly night…
Scooby gets on the couch trying to cuddle with me. It was too cold for his short hair to handle and he starts to shake a little I had an old sweater lying around so I cut out holes for legs and put that on him. He loves it so much so that when I try to take it off him he will run off. That’s the very first dog clothing I have made.
It turns out…
I am not the only one have a hard time finding a quality dog clothing that fits. After the sweater, I made a few pajamas and put them up for sale on Etsy. I got the order the very next day and soon after that, the first few pajamas were sold out.
That’s how Scooby and I started all this. We always put quality and style as the main priority on each every product we make.

I found out this heart-breaking truth about them 🙁 Bigger dogs are harder to have a forever home. Most of the apartments don’t even want to consider them and the ones that take big dogs most likely have breed restrictions. They eat more and take up more room, people think they are an inconvenience or even afraid of the size. So we decide to —
First we educate…
At BigDogsCloset, we want to bring the positive image to the big breeds and educate people who wants to be a BIG DOG PARENT, trust me it’s very different than having a chihuahua. People who get big breed dogs don’t know and they didn’t expect or prepare, as the result, most big breed dogs get dumped in the shelter and sadly get euthanized when their time runs out.
Second we serve…
We make products that help the big dogs and their parents. Make their daily lives easier and fun, create long lasting memory. it took a long time, back and forth with manufactures to get our simple just right, because we knew our customers deserve the best~
